Could you foster?
Transfer to Us
We will answer any questions that you have about the process and we will not, at this initial stage, share information about your situation with your current provider, handling your enquiry professionally and with confidentiality.
Ready to make the transition to fostering with Team Fostering?
We often receive enquiries from current foster carers interested in transferring to Team Fostering from agencies or providers in the North East, Yorkshire, and East Midlands.
This could be from other private agencies or from local authority fostering services, and sometimes the carers have a child or young person in placement with their current service that they continue to look after during and after the transfer process. With local offices in North Tyneside, Sheffield, Middlesbrough and South Normanton, we’re happy to speak to current carers that contact us to learn more.
Ethical Reinvestment
We are an ethical, not-for-profit agency with no shareholders, which means that all surplus funds are reinvested into the services offered to foster carers, children and young people.
Comprehensive Support
We offer an extremely high level of support, including our new psychological support service and our highly praised Education and Support Service.
Expert Training Opportunities
We provide extensive and well-organised training opportunities that are available at Team Fostering, presented by both expert internal staff and with external specialists.
21 nights short break care
We now offer 21 nights paid short break care to our foster carers, after listening to the feedback from our carers around the support needed.
Excellent pay and benefits
We provide foster carers with comprehensive support including a range of fees, allowances and benefits. Find out more.
Enriching Activities for Carers
Foster carers can partake in the fantastic range of activities, trips, working groups and holidays that are arranged for children and young people.
It’s been a breath of fresh air coming to Team Fostering.
“It’s so different to what we’re used to. We’ve got nothing but positive feelings about everyone we’ve encountered – staff, other carers, the children – everyone has been really warm and welcoming and it’s been a genuinely positive experience. We didn’t know anybody’s names where we were before, but now we’re getting to know everyone at Team. You know that you’re valued and respected here.”
– Foster carer Sharon, transferred to Team Fostering in 2021.
