Our Matching Process
Once you have been approved as a Team Fostering foster carer, you’ll meet your allocated supervising social worker. This person will be your designated worker and will provide support and guidance to you throughout your fostering journey.

Foster carers do something amazing when they welcome children into their lives, opening their homes and hearts to young people who need a family.
Upon your approval at the agency, you’ll have the opportunity to meet our dedicated Placements Team, alongside your allocated supervising social worker. Situated locally to you, this team will invest time in understanding your family dynamics, household, and background. This personalised approach enables us to effectively match children and young people whose needs resonate with your skills and abilities.
Tailored matching process
At Team Fostering, we prioritize meticulous matching. We make match recommendations only when we firmly believe that the child or children would integrate well into your family environment. We carefully review your Form F to ensure alignment. Upholding our agency’s ethical culture, we ensure that our carers feel confident in our matching process, knowing that all available information is considered. Carers retain the right to decline a proposed match if they feel it’s not suitable.
Comprehensive support
Our Placements Team plays a pivotal role beyond matching. In addition to facilitating matches, they coordinate transitions between carers, manage carers’ payments and expenses, oversee short break care arrangements, and promote carers’ skills and availability to local authorities. This comprehensive support system ensures that both carers and children receive the assistance they need for a successful fostering experience.
